In 1998 Bishop Yamauchi recognized that the world was in danger. People needed to learn Universe knowledge. Creating Sun Mission Temple was the result of Bishop Yamauchi’s desire to help people gain knowledge. Sun Mission Temple is a nondenominational temple, believing and teaching the “Knowledge of the Universe.” Our origins come from the teachings of the Tendai Sect of Mount Hiei; Kyoto, Japan. We believe beings on this planet born, grow old, die, and reborn in an endless cycle of rebirth until they have cleared their karma. With the teachings and guidance of Bishop Yamauchi we learn how to change this bad karma and make Pure Heart. Bishop Yamauchi teaches Universe Truths from Shakamuni Buddha’s teachings and from the messages he receives from Saint Ojizo. Bodhisattvas (saints/angels) are an inspiration to awaken people to the qualities of an enlightened being that are inherent in everyone. They are here to help us. They do not want to be worshipped.

To translate “Jizo” is “womb of the earth.” “Ji” means “earth,” and “Zo,” means “store” or “treasury.”

The Earth Store Bodhisattva (Saint Ojizo) gets his name from the earth. He is revered as one of the Eight Great Bodhisattvas of the esoteric sect. Ojizo is the Japanese name of the Bodhisattva, known in ancient India as Kshitigarbha Bodhisattva, guardian of the great earth.

A child-monk portrays Saint Ojizo. He carries a pilgrim’s staff with six rings that jingle to warn animals of his approach and prevent mutual harm. In his left hand Saint Ojizo carries the wish granting jewel, the jewel of Dharma truth whose light banishes all fear. Saint Ojizo stands on a lotus base. The lotus is a symbol of one who has achieved release from the karmic wheel or rebirth, as the pure flower rises from murky waters

Saint Ojizo travels to wherever there are people in need. Drowning in the darkness of unhappiness and fear, unable to free themselves, Saint Ojizo is the bodhisattva who plunges fearlessly into any situation to help those in need and embodies the qualities of benevolence, determination, and unflagging optimism.

He went on to become a successful executive at a large company in Tokyo. After 20 years as an executive, he realized his true life’s calling and retired from his position. He began training at Gassanji Temple, a temple of the Tendai sect. It was here that he received personal training in Mikkyo (secret sacred knowledge) from the Masters of Mount Hiei, the main headquarters for the Tendai Sect in Kyoto, Japan. During the rigorous training Bishop Yamauchi became aware of the power and the responsibilities of his special gift. He was able to verify that saints, angels, and bodhisattvas do exist and that they are here to help humans. After his training in mikkyo he went to Enrakyu-ji Temple at Mount Hiei to receive his formal education in Buddhism.

Bishop Yamauchi’s paranormal gift allows him to connect with Saint Ojizo. He receives messages about knowledge of the universe. He can see past, current, and future events occurring on this earth plane. His training in Mikkyo and his paranormal gift enable Bishop Yamauchi to heal people with illnesses. More importantly, he teaches his members Universe Knowledge so they can change their karma and help heal themselves.

BISHOP YAMAUCHI sees that all religions are teaching us how to “climb the mountain” (get closer to God). Each religion is a different path up to the top of the mountain. After we have reached the top, we see the same Sun, Moon, and Stars---the Universe. This is our goal to go back to heaven in the universe. In other words, we have to die. When we leave this earth we are subject to the laws of the Universe. Before that time comes what are you going to do with your life on this earth? What are your responsibilities? Are you succeeding your goals and the decisions you make? Are you getting knowledge to prepare for your journey back to heaven?

Our goal at Sun Mission Temple is to learn Bukkyo (Shakamuni’s teachings), and Mikkyo (sacred secret knowledge). We must learn Bishop Yamauchi’s teachings of the universe, get enlightenment, and make PURE HEART. Pure Heart equals good karma. All is possible with good karma—pure heart. Pure heart can erase our bad karma thus allowing us to break free from the cycle of rebirth (reincarnation) so we can go back to universe heaven. With Pure Heart we can become one with the universe and every one. Together we can pray and ask the saints/angels ( Saint Ojizo) to help change humanity from destroying one another , thus creating peace on this earth.

I have been to many different churches and temples searching for something to feed my soul. None of the churches taught me the Universe Knowledge that Sun Mission is teaching. I am learning TRUTHS that is invaluable for my future. Truth lives on forever. Because I am learning universe truths my life is changing. I am happier and my problems are disappearing. You can have happiness and prosperity too. If you are not satisfied with your life, or seek something more...Sun Mission is for you. You have the ability to change your karma, for this lifetime and the next... You have the ability to right any wrongs, to learn the patterns of your past, to make good with the universal energy and achieve enlightenment. The times are critical. We need to make PURE HEART.
